Saving the Planet by Healing Ourselves

Earth is in a crisis

2020 has been a roller coaster year and the news these days can be really depressing. The global coronavirus pandemic is still here. Climate change is affecting us with record-breaking fires, floods, hurricanes and tornadoes. Wild animals are losing critical habitat every day. Species are going extinct at a ridiculous rate.

It’s easy to get overwhelmed and paralyzed by the enormity of the situation.

But I’ve got a better idea: save the planet by saving yourself.

A Radical Solution

Humans are the cause of most of the world’s ills right now. Climate change, wars, oppression – it’s all perpetrated by humans. So to heal the root cause of our global crisis, we need to go to the heart of it: the hearts, minds, and souls of humans.

We need to heal humans by raising our collective consciousness.

And we do that one soul at a time.

The time has never been better for healing yourself and the effect has never been more important – and more impactful.

Where Gratitude Comes In

This week is Thanksgiving in the US. This is a time for us to slow down and reflect on our many blessings and share our gratitude with each other. It’s my favorite holiday of the year!

What you might not think about, though, is the powerful effect that gratitude can have on us. Not just on our attitude (it always boosts our mood!), but also on our sense of power and effectiveness in the world. When we focus on gratitude, we shift out of overwhelm and worry into power and action and optimism. This is where we need to be to solve the problems humanity is faced with now.

This week, I invite you to be grateful for your blessings, but also for the opportunity to heal yourself – thereby healing all of humanity and the planet and helping to save all the animals that we love so much.

Our Sacred Conversation

My friend and mentor Mike Iamele and I sat down to talk about this last fall – him in Boston and me in northern California. We bring different perspectives to the issue, but we are unified in our belief that healing ourselves individually (and by extension collectively when many of us heal together) is some of the most important, sacred work we can do to save ourselves, humanity, and our planet and all its inhabitants.

This week on my blog, I share our conversation. I hope you’ll be inspired and feel empowered to do your work on yourself – we all benefit when you do!

Enjoy the Conversation!

Now It’s Your Turn

Did you feel the same energy in the reading as me or did you get a different message from the animals? I’d love to hear about it! Please share your impressions with us so we can all benefit!

PS: If you want to start healing yourself, one of the best ways to do that is by healing your chakras. I walk you through the process in my Awaken Your Chakras (online, self-study) class. Get all the details here: https://drcaragubbins.kartra.com/page/intro-to-animal-chakras-registration

Dear Cara and Mike, your discussion fit perfectly with the synchronity of my meditations this morning, just like the circle Mike so succinctly spoke of. Thank you both for lifting the veil for me on many planes. Bless us all and Happy Thanksgiving.
