Animal Chakras – Chakra 3

Understanding Animal Chakras Makes Life Easier

Chakras organize and direct the life force energy of each of us – human and animal. Each chakra oversees a different aspect of our lives.

The third chakra (Chakra 3 – the Solar Plexus Chakra) governs Personal Power. When this chakra is out of balance, we usually know it because an animal is jealous, guarding toys or food, or acting aggressively toward animals or people.

This week on my blog, I explain how to recognize a Chakra 3 imbalance in your pet – and give you a few suggested activities to try that can help rebalance the third chakra and bring more harmony to every member of your pack!

    Hi,

I adopted a senior Tibetan Terrier this July. And, she was a champion and was also used for breeding. Love her dearly, and recently she had major surgery – a hysterectomy, mastectomy and 15 teeth removed all in one day. The vet said she was a strong little dog and was so impressed with her. Since she returned home, she’s really grown close to me, but overreacts at strangers and dogs immediately. Unfortunately, I live in a condo that hates dogs. Someone complained… and I had to get my attorney involved.

But, despite all this, I really thought it was the effects of such major surgery on this really sweet, super sensitive Tibetan Terrier. I tried disciplining her, but it was so unfair. So, I remembered she is a champion, so I hold the leash like she’s in the show ring and I have a treat in hand for good behavior. This seems to be working.

Any other advice will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you,

    Cynthia

Cynthia, what a big day for her! Yikes!
I agree that disciplining her for “bad behavior” is not fair and it won’t help. I love the way you actively remind her that she is a a champion and she matters!
I would consider the surgery as a “trauma” to her 2nd and 3rd chakras. Once you have that mindset, then ways to support her healing from the surgery and that trauma will include ways to support her 2nd and 3rd chakra balance. For her 2nd chakra, give her lots of love and reassurance. For her 3rd chakra, give her choices so she can strengthen up her self-esteem and don’t force her to do things she doesn’t want to do.
I also really like to use clicker training as a way to communicate the positive. For example when she is calm around other people and dogs, click and give her a treat and say “Yes! This is good!” The positive rewards will accumulate and she will understand what you want and that it is safe and feels good to be calm around other dogs and strangers.
You can also see my EFT for Pets videos on my YouTube channel and use affirmations for how you want things to be and say them out loud for both of you.
      I hope this helps!

Thank you Cara, I enjoyed the video and was glad to learn a little more about the third Chakra. I do have a dog who fits the 3rd chakra imbalance profile, but didn’t hear the suggested balancing activities (noted above the video), other than laughter! Are they in a written blog? Thanks!

      Hi, Susan,
Anything you can do for someone to build their self-esteem and make them feel effective and powerful in the world will help. Some options: give choices, respect their choices, laugh, give them refuges where they can retreat to be alone, etc. I hope this helps!
