Grounding Cord

Grounding Cords – My #1 Energy Tool as an Animal Communicator

One of my non-negotiables as a professional intuitive is my daily energy routine, which starts with a Grounding Cord.

I also set my Grounding Cord before I go to sleep each night.

And I check or reset my Grounding Cord before each animal communication session and each class that I teach.

In fact, I am not sure how I functioned in the world before I learned this simple, powerful technique.

The Grounding Cord is an almost unconscious part of me being alive in the world!

If you are not sure what I’m talking about, check out this video. I share everything I know about Grounding Cords – how to use them for yourself and for animals, how they affect our nervous system, when to use them, when not to use them, what to expect when you use them – you get the idea!

Thank you Dr Cara. The timing of this video for me is perfect. My 2yr old cat, Jet was given to me by someone moving to another city & she couldn’t take him with her. Yesterday she was back here for a visit. I think she is still feeling quite attached to him. He was fine until it was time for her to leave and she tried to pick him up to say goodbye. He wouldn’t let her & wouldn’t let me straight away, either. The long and short of it is that he has still been unsettled this morning in spite of my frequent telling him he’s not going anywhere & that he’s safe. The grounding cord was lovely for me. I think Jet is still a little unsettled and I will do the grounding cord again later. Thanks again.

As I did the exercise in the video to ground my cat, one of my previous (deceased) cats pushed into the mix (with her own bubble already around her!) and so I grounded her too. I could feel her love as I did it. I asked if she wanted to come back to me as the kind of dog I am wanting, told her she would be most welcome to do so. So now we’ll see what happens!

I grounded myself effortlessly, then felt super sleepy.
I grounded my dog super easy and my son’s cat. Then I went to my most nervous skittish cat, I’ve had her 10 years and she never truly settles. When I grounded her it was hard, when I got to the ground I felt I had to weave the cord through boulders, it was hard. Then you mentioned intention, so I just intended… as I was having difficulties and the boulders turned to sand and the cord was able to go down much easier. I made tree like roots.
It was funny. I had to concentrate on my dog’s cord not being attached to mine. It was hard. With the cats it wasn’t hard to make their cords separate from mine.

After working on the indoor animals I did my horses. First Spectra, she put a brick on the end of the cord. Then Daisy, she made a daisy chain, can you imagine, so the anchor was roots. Then Bella, she said the cord was a lasso rope and the loop went around the center core of the earth.
So cool how the horses had to be involved and have a say in what the cords were like. The dog and cats didn’t. But horses are sooo incredibly connected.

Thank you so much for instructing on how to give a grounding cord to an animal. I know how to ground myself, but not my pets. My little Bichon has diabetes, high blood pressure and gastric problems. He sees his vet every two weeks to change the Freestyle Libre sensor and they also check his BP while he’s there. Lately, he’s been so worked up, his BP has been through the roof. I can’t wait to try it this Weds. when he next sees them, and see if it makes a difference. Here’s hoping! Thanks again!

    Hi Dr Cara,

Thanks very much for this video, I use grounding for myself but have never thought of doing it for my pets so I am really keen to do that.

    Thanks very much

    Angie
